Watermark Ready for Android: privacy policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026. Last updated: 30 September 2026. Publisher: Pixel Works Software S.R.L.

This policy covers Watermark Ready for Android phones and tablets, package com.dreamatronics.watermark, version 1.0 and later. Watermark Ready for iPhone and iPad is covered by its own policy.

The short version

Watermark Ready adds your watermark to photos and videos, and marks copies of documents, on your device. We never receive your photos, videos, documents or watermark text, and the app collects no personal data. Nothing it works on leaves your device unless you save or share it yourself.

What the app reads

Only the photos, videos and files you choose. Android’s photo picker gives Watermark Ready just the items you select, not your gallery. Files you pick in the system file picker, and photos or videos you share to Watermark Ready from another app, are handled the same way. Each item is copied into the app’s temporary folder to be processed; your originals are never changed or deleted. Watermark Ready asks for no permission to your photos, videos, storage or camera.

The camera, only through your camera app: when you take a photo for Safe Copy, Watermark Ready asks your camera app to take one picture and save it into a file in the app’s temporary folder. The app never uses the camera itself and sees none of your other photos.

Saving and sharing your copies

Save to Gallery adds the new copies to your gallery through Android’s media store, in Pictures/Watermark Ready for photos and Movies/Watermark Ready for videos; this needs no permission, and the app cannot see the rest of your gallery. Save to Files writes them into the folder you pick, and Share hands them to the app you choose. The copies in the app’s temporary folder are deleted when you leave the result screen, and anything left behind is cleaned up the next time the app starts. Saving or sharing through Google Drive, email or another app is subject to the privacy practices of the destination you choose.

What stays on your device

Your presets and the logos you choose for them; a list of recent jobs with counts and settings only — never the files, names or text; how many jobs you have saved or shared, so the app asks Google Play for its rating card at a good moment; whether you have used your free job; whether Pro is active, as Google Play last reported it; and a few settings, such as your recently used fonts and whether you have seen the introduction. All of this lives in the app’s own storage on your device. It is excluded from Android backups and from transfers to a new device, so it never leaves the device, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. You can clear the list of recent jobs in the app’s settings.

What we collect

Nothing. Watermark Ready’s own code sends nothing to us or to anyone else. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code, no third-party SDKs that collect data, and no account system, and it does not use the advertising ID or track you across apps or websites. Coarse technical events, such as that a batch finished, are written only to the device’s own system log, never include file names, watermark or document text, and are not transmitted to us.

Photo details in your copies

By default, location details are removed from the copies you make; the date, and for photos the camera details, are kept. You can keep everything or remove all details. Safe Copies never keep any photo details.

Safe Copy

Safe Copy adds visible markings that show what a copy of a document is for, and can cover parts of it with boxes that are burned into the copy. It helps tell a marked copy apart from an unmarked scan; it cannot stop someone from misusing a copy.

Notifications

On Android 13 and later, Watermark Ready asks once, when your first job starts, whether it may show notifications. They are used only to show a running batch’s progress, with a Cancel button, while you use other apps, and to tell you when it has finished or stopped. The job runs whether you allow them or not, and you can change your choice at any time in Android’s settings.

Purchases

Google Play processes purchases. The app uses Google Play Billing to show prices, to buy and restore Watermark Ready Pro (a yearly subscription, which starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers, a monthly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase) and to check whether Pro is active. It receives only the state of your purchase from Google Play; we never see your payment details or your Google Account. Google’s privacy policy and the Google Play Terms of Service apply to purchases. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play; uninstalling the app does not cancel it.

Ratings

After a few jobs whose copies you saved or shared, the app may ask Google Play to show its rating card. The card is Google Play’s own: what you enter there goes to Google Play under Google’s policies, and the app is never told whether or how you rated it.

Children

Watermark Ready is a general photo and video utility and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no data from anyone.

Your rights, changes and contact

Your photos, videos and documents stay on your device, under your control: you can clear the recent jobs in the app, and remove all of the app’s data by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. Since we do not receive your data, we hold none to access, correct or delete. You can contact us about privacy through our contact page or at contact@pixelworkssoftware.com; we will never ask you to send us your photos or documents. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Romania, the ANSPDCP.

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
