Ready to Upload Compress Video privacy policy
Effective date: 26 September 2026. Publisher: Pixel Works Software S.R.L.
This policy covers our iPhone and iPad video compression utility, Ready to Upload Compress Video, bundle ID com.dreamatronics.uploadready.video, version 1.0 and later. Our photo app, Ready to Upload, has its own policy.
Your videos stay on your device
Videos are compressed, previewed and checked on your device. The app never uploads your videos, frames from them, their file names or their metadata, to us or to anyone else. We do not operate a video-processing backend, require an account or display advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
You choose videos through Apple’s Photos picker, the Files picker, “Open In” from another app, or by dragging them onto the app on iPad. The app reads only the videos you choose and does not ask for access to your photo library. It asks for permission to add to Photos only when you choose Save to Photos. Your original video is never modified or deleted. Saving or sharing through Files, iCloud or another app is subject to the privacy practices of the destination you choose.
Location, capture date and device details (make, model, software) are removed from the compressed video by default. If you turn on “Keep date and location”, the compressed video keeps its capture date and location, and a copy saved to Photos is dated and placed where the original was; device details are always removed. Check the result and your settings before sharing.
On iOS 26 and later, a compression you started can continue while you use other apps; iOS shows its progress. This happens on your device and sends nothing.
Usage data and crash reports
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google.
What is sent. The steps you take in the app: which screens are opened; whether videos came from Photos, Files, Open In or a drop, how many, and their total length as a range (such as “1–3 minutes”); which of the listed upload limits was chosen (a size you type is sent only as a range, such as “10–25 MB”); the format (H.264 or HEVC), the output resolution as a range and the quality label of the preview; whether you trimmed; how long compression took and how many passes it needed; whether a result was saved to Photos, shared or saved to Files; when the Pro screen was shown and whether a purchase was made (the plan, its price and currency; never your payment details or your Apple Account); and the category of any error. With these, Google receives the app and iOS version, the device model, the language, a random identifier created for this installation of the app, and an approximate location (country, region and city) that Google derives from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store the IP address itself. If the app crashes, the crash report contains the technical state of the app at the time and the steps before the crash.
What is never sent. Your videos or any part of them, file names, video metadata (including location), preset names or anything you type. The app does not use the advertising identifier or the vendor identifier, does not enable advertising features, and does not link this data to your identity or combine it with data from other apps or websites.
Your choice. If your App Store account is in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks before sending anything, and nothing is sent unless you agree. Elsewhere, sharing is on by default. Everywhere, you can turn it on or off in Settings → Share Usage Data. Turning it off stops sending, resets this installation’s analytics identifier and deletes crash reports that have not been sent.
Legal basis, storage and transfers. Where the app asks, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings at any time. Elsewhere, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app, which you can object to by turning sharing off. Google processes this data on our behalf under its data processing terms. It may do so in the United States and other countries, protected by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Usage data is kept for up to 14 months, after which only aggregate figures remain; crash reports are kept for 90 days.
Stored on your device
Copies of the videos you choose, previews and compressed files are kept in the app’s private storage while you work with them, and removed when you start over or choose other videos, and when the app next starts. Saved presets and the settings of your last compression remain on your device. The free-export allowance is stored in the device Keychain. Your answer about usage data is stored on the device.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases. The app uses StoreKit to verify Compress Video Pro (a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase) and to restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card information or your Apple Account. Apple’s privacy policy applies to purchases and App Store services. Compress Video Pro is separate from Ready to Upload Pro.
Your rights and contact
You can delete saved presets in the app, and remove app-managed local storage by deleting the app. Videos you exported remain in the destinations you chose until you delete them there. Keychain entries may persist after uninstalling.
Usage data is tied only to a random installation identifier, not to you, so we usually cannot find the data of one person. Turning sharing off resets that identifier. You can contact us about privacy, including to exercise your rights of access, erasure and objection, through our contact page. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Romania, the ANSPDCP.
If you contact support, you choose the information you send. Do not include videos unless needed for your support request. This policy may be updated when the app’s practices change; an updated effective date will appear here.
