MeasureKeep for Android: privacy policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026. Publisher: Pixel Works Software S.R.L.

This policy covers MeasureKeep for Android, the photo measurement notebook, package com.dreamatronics.measurement, version 1.0 and later. The iPhone and iPad app is covered by its own policy.

Your photos and measurements stay on your device

MeasureKeep keeps your photos, the frames you choose from videos, your lengths, angles and notes, your projects and their details (name, client, address, job date and notes), and the company name and logo you set for your sheets in the app’s private storage on your device. We never receive any of it. The app has no account, shows no ads and does not track you. It contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting service, and it does not collect the advertising ID.

You add photos through Android’s photo picker, the system file picker or your camera app, or by sharing a photo to MeasureKeep from another app. The app reads only the photo or video you choose and does not ask for permission to your photos, videos, storage or camera: when you take a photo, your camera app takes it and hands that photo to MeasureKeep. Your original photos and videos are never changed or deleted. MeasureKeep keeps its own copy of each photo as a JPEG without the original’s metadata, so location and camera details are not stored with your projects or included in what you export. A video is read on your device only to show its frames; only the frames you choose are kept.

Sharing and project files

When you share a photo as a JPEG or a PDF sheet, a project report or a project file, the app creates the file on your device and hands it to the app or destination you choose through Android’s share sheet. That destination handles the copy under its own privacy practices. Files prepared for sharing are kept in the app’s temporary storage and removed the next time the app starts, once they are a day old. A project file (.measurekeep) contains the projects you chose, with their photos, measurements, notes and details; opening one adds its projects to your device and sends nothing anywhere.

Purchases

Google Play processes purchases. The app uses Google Play Billing to show prices, to buy and restore MeasureKeep Pro (a yearly or monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase) and to check your access to Pro. We do not receive your payment information or your Google Account. Google’s privacy policy and the Google Play terms apply to purchases. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play; uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Apart from Google Play Billing, the app does not connect to the internet. The links in Settings open this policy, the Google Play terms and our contact page in your browser.

Backups

If Android backup is on, Android may include the app’s settings (units, inch precision, appearance, haptics, your company name and the record of your free PDF sheet) in your device backup under your Google Account; photos and projects are not included. When you move to a new Android device with a device-to-device transfer, your projects can move with it. We do not receive or manage these backups. To keep a copy of your projects elsewhere, use Back up all projects (MeasureKeep Pro), which saves a project file where you choose.

Your rights and contact

Your data stays on your device, under your control. You can delete projects and photos in the app (they go to Recently Deleted until you delete them there for good), remove the company name and logo in Settings, and remove all of the app’s data by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. Files you shared remain in the destinations you chose until you delete them there.

Since we do not receive your data, we hold none to access, correct or delete. You can contact us about privacy through our contact page. If you contact support, you choose what you send; do not include photos unless your request needs them. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Romania, the ANSPDCP.

MeasureKeep is not directed to children under 13. This policy may be updated when the app’s practices change; the effective date above will change with it.
